Edit and design

Themes and visual style

Use a coordinated theme, then adjust individual elements where needed.

Apply a theme

Choose a theme for the piece to change its typography, colors, borders, corners, and visual treatment together. Review both image-heavy and text-heavy sections after switching. The theme is a set of coordinated choices, so you do not need to recolor every item manually.

Customize with intent

Use the theme editor to adjust a custom theme when the workspace allows it. Keep enough contrast for body text and chart labels, choose fonts that work at your output size, and test long headings. Element-level overrides are useful for emphasis but can make a piece less consistent if used everywhere.

Theme versus content

Changing a theme changes presentation, not the facts in your piece. A dark image background may require different text contrast from a light section. Review exported files as well as the editor because your audience may be using a different screen or printing the result.
